KOHIMA — Ahead of the first-ever World
Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025, which is to be held in
Mumbai from May 1 to the 4th, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Monday held
a press conference at the Kohima Press Club conference hall highlighting
India’s efforts to position itself as a global hub for content creation,
intellectual property, and technological innovation.
- Assistant director of PIB Kohima Sonikumar Singh said that
the WAVES will showcase India’s rich cultural heritage through spirituality and
Yoga, performing arts, literature and philosophy, and the tradition of
storytelling.
- He highlighted that WAVES is India’s first-of-its-kind
global platform dedicated to amplifying the nation’s creative strength and
positioning it as a hub for content creation, intellectual property, and
technological innovation.

professionals from industries including broadcasting, print media, television,
radio, films, animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, sound and music,
advertising, digital media, social media platforms, generative AI, augmented
