The Phüsachodümi Students' Union has extended support to the Chakhesang Students' Union, seeking accountability and timely resolution of issues affecting NH-29 Package-II.
DIMAPUR — The Phüsachodümi Students' Union (PSU) has extended its support to the Chakhesang Students' Union (CSU) in its efforts to seek accountability and a timely resolution to the prolonged difficulties surrounding NH-29 (Kohima-Jessami Road), particularly Package-II.
In a press release, the PSU said it had taken serious note of the concerns raised by the CSU over persistent delays and deteriorating road conditions along the stretch, stating that the situation had caused considerable inconvenience as well as economic and social hardships for the people.
The union said NH-29 serves as a vital lifeline for several districts and communities, with Package-II being particularly important for villages and people who depend on the road for connectivity, transportation, education, healthcare, trade and other essential activities.
It maintained that the continued difficulties along the stretch affect not only road users but also the broader social and economic life of communities dependent on the route.

The PSU said it stood “shoulder to shoulder” with the CSU in its peaceful and democratic pursuit of accountability, justice and a timely resolution to the issues concerning NH-29 Package-II.
It also assured the CSU of its full cooperation and support, adding that it was ready to extend assistance in all lawful and constructive efforts undertaken in the larger interest of the people.
The PSU expressed hope that the concerns raised by the CSU would be addressed with the seriousness and urgency they deserve and that necessary measures would be taken to ensure the proper and timely completion of the project.
Reaffirming its commitment to the welfare and future of the people, the PSU said it stood firmly with the CSU in the collective cause.
