A total of 113 delegates attended a joint Phom Baptist Christian Association, Pochury Baptist Church Council leadership training programme in Meluri.

DIMAPUR — The Phom Baptist Christian Association (PBCA) Women Department partnered with the Pochury Baptist Church Council (PBCC) to conduct a three-day leadership training programme at the PBCC Mission Centre in Yisisotha under the Meluri district from August 11 to the 13th.
A total of 113 delegates from the PBCC Women Department and the Christian Education Department attended the training, according to an update.
Organised to equip leaders to take on roles and responsibilities with informed skills and approaches, the training covered intensive topics such as leadership commitment and attributes, structural designation, and complementing roles. The sessions included hands-on mock practices on how to conduct funerals and offer professional counselling to grieving and distressed members with different life stories.
The curriculum also covered professionalism in ministry and the workplace, social and pulpit etiquette, and inductive Bible study methods.
Children's pastors attended specialised craft sessions where they were taught to use available resources to build creative items, strategies to break the cycle of violence against children, and various teaching methods.
To highlight physical health, basic health sessions and Zumba work-out sessions were also conducted.
The resource persons from the PBCA were Women Secretary P Angbhenla Phom, Rev. Mongvai, and Chulei Phom.
