Phekmi Welfare Union Kohima celebrates 28th anniversary at Kisama with MLA Nienu calling for unity and truth.

DIMAPUR — The Phekmi Welfare Union Kohima (PWUK) held its general session and 28th-year celebration at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, on Saturday, with MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu as the speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, Nienu called upon the people to maintain the feeling of oneness as one family. “We are one family,” he said and challenged the gathering to love and support one another for posterity, stated an update.
He called upon the people to commit themselves to God in everything they do. Nienu also encouraged the gathering to stand by the truth even if standing alone.

Veziihii Keyho, president of Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), and Chivozo Soho, chairman of Phek Village Council, also exhorted the gathering.
Siirhoneyi Soho, president of PWUK, informed that there are 451 registered members under PWUK at present. The PWUK also felicitated the NPSC successful candidates and outstanding achievement of the students during 2024-25.
In the new team of PWUK executives for the tenure 2026-27, Shevoduyi Venuh and Rukulu Chizo have been announced as the new president and general secretary, respectively, among others.
