DIMAPUR — The Phek District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PDCCI) organised its first ‘PDCCI award ceremony-cum-advent Christmas 2025’ on December 17 at the Clock Tower.
The event, coinciding with the final day of the PDCCI Annual Night Bazaar 2025, brought together shop owners, local vendors, young entrepreneurs and well‑wishers in a festive atmosphere that combined the Christmas spirit with the vibrancy of the night bazaar, a update stated.
Deputy Commissioner of Phek and guest of honour, Rhosietsho Nguori, in his address, thanked the PDCCI for bringing forward such a meaningful and timely initiative, noting that the blend of Christmas celebrations and night bazaar activity created a unique and positive atmosphere for the town.
He reminded the gathering that the business community plays an important role in society and in boosting the local economy, encouraging the PDCCI members to continue providing the best possible service even in difficult times, and expressed hope that the healthy competition would continue so that the entire community benefits.
PDCCI president Razoukhruyi Dozo, in his welcome address, termed the event as a new milestone for the business community in Phek.

He explained that the awards were introduced to encourage local vendors and young entrepreneurs to compete in a healthy manner in areas such as customer management, cleanliness, hygiene, and the presentation and decoration of their shops.
He described this year’s edition as an ice‑breaking session to help all participants understand the concept as PDCCI works to “build a new Phek.”
PDCCI general secretary Pio Veswu acknowledged and thanked the guests, all programme participants, local artistes, PDCCI members and well‑wishers for their presence and support.
He also expressed the chamber’s appreciation for the cooperation extended throughout the PDCCI Annual Night Bazaar 2025 and for making the event memorable.
The award ceremony was conducted by the search committee convenor Zachive Rhakho, who announced Dumpling Den, Tive Bakery and Grocery & Drinks Depot, as the three Best Performing Shops 2025, recognising their excellence in customer care, cleanliness and creative presentation.
Special musical items were presented by Vamvelu, Meyiete, Aren, Sakulu and Nurile Anuri. Khrusazo Nyekha, associate pastor of PTBC, pronounced the closing prayer.
