[caption id="attachment_261791" align="aligncenter" width="565"] Players of Government Higher Secondary School and Holy Care School along with Tokavi Achumi and PTCSU officials on July 22.[/caption] Dimapur, July 22 (EMN): The closing ceremony of the 2nd Inter-High School Tournament organised by Phek Town Chakhesang Students Union (PTCSU) was held at the Phek town local ground on Monday, July 22, with Addl. Superintendent of Police Tokavi Achumi, D.E.F Phek as the guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion, Achumi said that games and sports are an essential part of education and indispensable component of our everyday life which curb us “sound mind and sound body”. Furthermore it educates us to toil hard as a team, discipline, respect and acceptance of defeat and embrace victory. In order to keep pace with others, one needs to give their best efforts, avoid bad habits and bring a change in our mindset and society as well. He also congratulated all the participating teams and PTCSU for providing such a platform to the students to display their talents. During the 3-day tournament, Government Higher Secondary School defeated Holy Care School 2-1 and emerged as champion in men’s football. In women’s volley ball, Government Higher Secondary School emerged as champions and Government High School Phek as runners-up. In women’s penalty shootout, Christian Mission Higher Secondary School emerged as champion while in men’s volley ball, Government Higher Secondary School bagged the championship title and Holy care school as runners-up.
