Dimapur, April 28 (EMN): Phek district inter-departmental tournament got underway with Razouvolie Dozo, Deputy Commissioner, as the special guest of the inaugural programme at Badminton Stadium, Phek on Thursday.
Speaking during the programme, he stressed on the importance of physical fitness and called on the participants to develop friendship through the tournament. The DC also declared the tournament open, a DIPR report informed.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Samuel Thyug, SDO (C) and Convener, Core Committee, while the welcome address was delivered by secretary of Officers’ Club, Phek, Shiekhozo Rhakho.
A special song was presented by Sakulu Lohe and oath taking was administered by District Sports Officer Phek, Wutsutho Nyuthe.
