Kohima, June 15 (EMN): The deputy commissioner (DC) of Phek, Razouvolie Dozo, has ordered all dog owners to keep their dogs chained in their respective enclosure or home.

In an order issued on June 14, the DC stated that dogs were found rampantly roaming on the streets and public places in Phek town, littering and posing threat to public safety.

He added that the order is issued to safeguard the public from dog bites or attacks and to keep the town clean.

It warned that, necessary action would be initiated as per the provision of the law for failure to adhere to the order.
