KOHIMA — The Phek
Area Sports Association (PASA) is set to hold its 35th meet at Lozaphuhu
village from January 21 to the 25th, on the theme “Where passion meets
perseverance”.
According to an update, MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, leader of
the NPF Legislature Party, will be the special guest, while Alezo Venuh, Ato
Kilonser of the GPRN-NSCN (U), will be the guest of honour. Phek Town Council
(PTC) Councillor Shekhoveyi Vese will be the chief patron.
PASA president Kudezo Vero informed that the meet will
feature track and field events, football, volleyball, basketball, Naga
wrestling, and arm wrestling.
The opening ceremony on January 21, starting at 8:30 am,
will be chaired by PASA general secretary Vezovo Rhakho. The welcome address
will be delivered by Khusuzo Khamo, chairman of Lozaphuhu Village Council.
Greetings will be shared by Ludoveyi Vero, president of the Tizu Area Sports
Association. PASA games and sports secretary Savoto Rhakho will administer the
oath to the participating teams.
The meet will be joined by six units under PASA, including
the Phek Sports Association, Phek Basa Sports Association, Tuzatsu Sports
Association, Lozaphuhu Sports Association, Kutisu Sports Association, and
Lanyezho Sports Association.
