Kohima, Nov. 20 (EMN): The president of the Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) of Phek, and member of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), the 18th Chozuba assembly constituency, has tendered his resignation from the Congress party, on November 17.
In a letter addressed to the president of the District Congress Committee, Ketipra Lohe stated: “I have the honour to submit my resignation letter to your high authority for consideration and necessary action thereof. It is worth mentioning that, I have been working in the INC party in different capacities viz., president ACCC, DCC executive, vice president DCC, chairman DCC Kisan Cell, president ACCC-cum-member NPCC till date also a recipient of state veteran award and national veteran award.”
Lohe stated to have resigned from the Congress party to support and strengthen the present ruling People’s Democratic Alliance government under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and, the president of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Chingwang Konyak.
Lohe was stated to have resigned along with co-workers numbering about fifty who have ‘unanimously resolved to support Kedecho Khamo, the NDPP official candidate.’
