Kohima, Feb. 16 (EMN): A five-day training programme for trainers on sanitation activities has culminated on February 14 with MK Mero, principal secretary of the Public Health Engineering department, as the special guest of the event, at the Phed’s directorate in Kohima.
The event was an initiative of the ministry of Jal Shakti, department of Drinking Water and Sanitation Mission, organised by the Phed.
Selected officials from the districts of Nagaland from each divisions of Phed attended the five-day event to focus on the national flagship programme Jal Jeevan Mission which pertains to safe and secure drinking water supply management, and Open Defecation Free Plus (ODF+) objectives.
The team also visited Jotsoma village as part of field visits and had interaction with villagers during the five-day training.
Feedbacks from the trainees were a highlight of the programme. Training programme certificates were also handover to the participants by the special guest.
