Kohima, June 12 (EMN): Public health engineering department (PHED) has announced to carry out checking of water bills from Metre house-44, located next to the section office of the junior engineer PHED at PWD above DC’s workshop from June 18-22.
Informing this through a release, Er. Vikeduolie, executive engineer PHED, Kohima urban division, has asked the consumers to produce receipt of water bills as proof to continue using the water supply. It warned that consumers would be penalised as per code of PHED consumer rules or immediate disconnection for failing to produce receipt.
He further informed that checking of water bills would be carried out from June 25 onwards to curb illegal connections and improve distribution lines.
The department further informed that water supply might be disrupted during the period.
