
DIMAPUR — Phek Government College (PGC) organised an orientation programme for the students admitted to BA and B.Sc first semester at Deo Nukhu Hall on Monday.
Resource persons Neiwe Mero and Dr. Neilhousano Nakhro presented brief outline to the New Education Policy, which has been introduced this academic session by Nagaland University at the Undergraduate level (BA & B. Sc 1st semester) and (four year undergraduate programme), an update stated.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]Introduction to the various existing clubs and committees in the college for students like NSS, NCC, Red Cross, Red Ribbon, literary and performing arts, PGCEU etc., were also highlighted to the students.
The programme was attended by faculty members and the first semester students.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Dr. Zhokusheyi Rhakho while the invocation was given by Dr. Tsotalu Nakro.
The college principal, Dr. T Tiakaba Jamir delivered the welcome address and a brief talk on the institution’s norms and regulation was presented by Vevolu Khamo.
