Dimapur, Jan. 14: Public Forum Pungro Sub- Division (PFPSD) has appealed to the State Bank of India (SBI), Pungro branch, to issue small currency note of Rs 500, Rs 100 and Rs 50 instead of Rs 2000 note only as it is causing immense hardship to the people in rural areas for business transaction.
PFPSD president, S Kiusumew Yimchunger, stated circulation of Rs 2000 note has affected the general public of Pungro sub-division, including the business community.
PFPSD, on behalf of the general public of Pungro sub-division, earnestly requested the SBI department to issue smaller note to the public to ensure smooth transaction of business and other related works.
