Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): The Chief Medical Office (CMO) of Peren district conducted its review meeting on May 8 in the conference hall of CMO, district headquarter, New Peren.
According to a press release received here on Friday from CMO office, the meeting was attended by the deputy CMO, district programme officers, nurses, pharmacist, DAPCU’s staff, district and block program management unit staff NHM.
CMO Dr. Denis Hangsing expressed while appreciating the members present for attending the meeting, pointed out that monthly meeting is very important for disseminating information, to update and communicate with one another. He told the members that meeting should be given utmost priority. He also urged them to be sincer at work and requested everyone to be their place of posting.
Deputy CMO Dr. Supongmenla, highlighted about the Mission Indradhanush status of the district. She also briefed on Ayushman Bharat Divas- Pradhan Mantri - National Health Protection Mission (PMNHPM) and requested the health workers to do the needful at the earliest.
District programme manager, Elizabeth reminded about the Village Health Nutrition day which is conducted every month in the villages. She appealed to health workers and medical officers to conduct, monitor and supervise the same regularly.
DPO RCH/UIP Dr. Yetovi, highlighted on the last month Mission Indradhanush status and performance. He said that ‘initially the performance was not good but gradually they were able to catch up.’ He requested the health workers to work sincerely to give the best of their services to the people. He also mentioned the importance of micro-plan which should be submitted on time.
DPO NVBDCP Dr. Limatula shared about the upcoming Long Lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) fortnight observance from May 15– 27th which will be held in Jalukie and Athibung block and Peren town.
Attending the meeting, Visevino Khrieo, project officer, project AHANA under GFTAM in coordination with NACO and respective SACS highlighted about the goal to increase uptake of PPTCT service and promote periphery level HIV screening among pregnant women as part of ANC for early identification and linking them with PPTCT services. She also mentioned the objectives which is to improve HIV testing among the pregnant women and effective reporting system both public and private sector and also to ensure linkages and retention to ART treatment to HIV+PW and their children. She expressed the need to work in coordination with the department for the success of the project.
The office has informed that the next review meeting has been scheduled on June 5.
