Dimapur, May 12 (EMN): Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Peren, will observe the Intensified Diarrhoea Control fortnight from May 28 to June 8.
Dr. Nukshisangla , DPO, RCH/UIP stated this during the district review meeting held on May 7 in the conference hall of the CMO, New Headquarters, Peren. The review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Denis Hangsing, CMO, Peren.
Dr. Nukshisangla also briefed the members on how to prepare homemade ORS and also demonstrated on hand-washing. She appealed to all the members and field workers present to give their full support and cooperation in carrying out the task.
She also informed that ambulance services in the district should be utilised for its intended purpose only and not be misused. She mentioned that ambulance service reports should tally with the log book. She further added that medical officer in-charge would be held responsible for the ambulance reports.
Dr. Kevi Meyase, DPO NVBDCP, has highlighted about the vector borne activities in the district. He also explained and demonstrated about the malaria test kit. He specifically urged the health workers to properly read given instructions before using the test kit.
Elizabeth, DPM, informed about the skilled birth attendant formats that needs to be filled up by the health workers and requested all to submit the formats on time.
Also speaking at the meeting, Dr. Denis Hangsing, CMO, requested all the health workers to give prior information through proper channel to his office on any issue related to the medical department. He also urged the health workers to maintain professionalism and cautioned that action would be taken against those who abstain from work/ meeting as discussed.
He further informed about the bio-waste management formats that need to be filled up by the health units.
Dr. Thangmang, MO Athibung PHC, made a power point presentation on the performance under Athibung block. The presentation indicated various aspects of activities as well as the targets and achievements under RCH, UIP and other vertical programmes.
District Programme Officers (DPOs), medical officers and health workers from all the health centres, district and block program management unit staff, NHM, attended the meeting.
The next review meeting is scheduled on June 7.
