Dimapur, Sep. 5 (EMN): Despite the announcement of Unlock-4, Peren district has decided to strictly implement the consolidated guidelines in the entire district in consonance with the SOP issued by the state government on August 31.
The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the Peren district task force on Covid-19 held in the chamber of the deputy commissioner's office on September 3. The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of the DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, who is also the chairman of DTF, a DIPR report stated on Saturday.
Stressing on the importance of high risk settings, strict enforcement of Infection Prevention and Control Practices (IPCP) would continue to be implemented at check gates, offices, markets and crowded places, it informed.
The house has also decided to conduct surprise checking of privates and passengers vehicles from time to time to ensure compliance of the safety measures as per the latest SOP.
The update informed that that rates of taxi fares in the district would be revised after discussing with Peren district taxi union at the earliest.
Considering the lack of alternative places for Covid Care Centre (CCC), the house has decided to approach the GMS and GHSS Jalukie to accommodate more patients till an alternative arrangement is made.
Concerning the problems of sanitising team and fogging machine, the deputy commissioner has entrusted the Medical department to enquire about the availability of additional fogging machine in the district and to carry on with the existing manpower till an adequate resources are made available.
The DC also briefed the members that the proposal for mass awareness campaign in the district and sustainable Covid Hospital and Covid Care Centre at New Peren district headquarters have been submitted to higher up for redressal. He also informed the members that the liaison officer at Dimapur is likely to be replaced soon.
