Dimapur, Dec. 2 (EMN): A career guidance programme, organised by the Peren Students’ Union (PSU) in collaboration with the Peren District Legal Services Authority (PDLSA), was held on November 30 at Town Hall, Peren. The programme was chaired by Dr. Keyitiak Ndang and the resource persons were from CAN Youth, Dimapur.
About 278 students attended the event representing All Saints Higher Secondary School, Baptist Higher Secondary School, and Government Higher Secondary School, Peren town. Besides members from PSU, social activists and teachers and para-legal volunteers from the district attended the programme.
The programme emphasised on self discovery to find out one’s true skill, talent and passion. It was conducted through individual and group mappings in chart presentations. The emphasis of the programme was laid on turning one’s passion into a career option, which is the need of the hour.
PSU president Rampauyi Ndang stated that students were made aware of the activities and various legal services offered by PDLSA. Pamphlets on legal awareness
were distributed to the students and those in attendance.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Haipeurangbe Ndang, PLV, on behalf of the PSUN and PDLSA.
