Dimapur, July 6 (EMN): Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on Fri. July 6 at the new deputy commissioner’s office complex in Peren under the chairmanship of the vice chairman of the board, S Tainiu.
A DIPR news bulletin, while informing about the meeting, informed that the advisor for Irrigation and Flood Control, Namri Nchang who is also the chairman of the board appealed the board members to ban hunting and fishing and to sensitise the villagers about it.
Also, Namri Nchang asked the Forest department to check logging in the district and administrative officers to monitor land encroachment on government land in the towns and the district.
The board chairman further asked the members and officers to be in station so as to facilitate the public and further cautioned all the erring officers that he will not hesitate to take up action.
The board also reviewed its last meeting especially with regard to ‘shifting of offices, water supply and electrification in all offices at the New DC Complex’.
The chief mediavl officer of Peren gave power point presentation on polio, rubella, measles and vaccination in the district.
Press secretary to chief ministe, Pausui Zeliang, also spoke in the meeting, and appealed the officers to be sincere and dedicate themselves to public services for the uplift of the entire district. Other issues like improvement of road from Athibung to Khelma, Upgradation of GMS Ekesingram village to GHS was also discussed during the meeting, the DIPR stated.
