Peren, Mon register wins in G Rio memorial tournament

Dimapur, Jan. 23 (EMN): Peren defeated Zunheboto by 72 runs in the ongoing first G Rio memorial U-19 (Boys) inter-district tournament at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima in Dimapur.

Parbez contributed 68 runs, while Vicky scored 30.

Zunheboto could score only 84, and were bowled out in 20.5 overs. Nighato Yeputho scored 23 runs and Abhishek contributed 21.

Roko Nyekha claimed six wickets for Peren.

In the second group B match, Mon defeated Wokha was by 28 runs. Mon scored a total of 153/8 in 25 overs with Atlab's 52-run-knock.

Wokha could chalk up only 125 runs in 25 overs.
