Peren DPDB holds monthly meeting

DIMAPUR — The Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) held its monthly meeting at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Peren, on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, DPDB Peren, Hiazu Meru.


According to a DIPR report, the meeting reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting, including the adoption of Peren Government College, the adoption of schools and hospitals, the review of the adoption of off-season crops, and the adoption of one village under each RD Block as a pilot project.


The deputy commissioner expressed gratitude to all departments for their cooperation during the monthly departmental social work conducted on the fourth Friday of each month. He urged heads of offices to ensure strict supervision of their staff, emphasising that employees perform their duties diligently to effectively serve the public visiting government offices.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Peren, D Robin, who is also the convenor of the Inter-Departmental Tournament, announced that this year’s tournament is proposed to be held from November 12 to the 14th at Jalukie, exclusively for government employees posted in Peren district.


He outlined the disciplines, guidelines, and other necessary details, urging full cooperation and participation from the members for the successful conduct of the event.


A PowerPoint presentation on “People, forests and payment for ecosystem services (PES)” was delivered by Dr. Pentile Thong from Rongmei Baptist Association and the Landstack Nagaland Team.
