Peren district set to conduct Financial Literacy Assessment Test from March 21.

DIMAPUR — Along with the rest of the country, Peren district is set to conduct the Financial Literacy Assessment Test (FLNAT) 2026 from March 21. The assessment will be conducted in 112 schools and villages across the district.
It is a flagship programme on ‘Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society’ (ULLAS) initiated under the Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram.
An update from the district education officer (DEO), Peren, stated that a district-wide mobilisation drive began on March 3 as part of the preparations. It stated that officials led by the DEO, Limadangit Jamir, are visiting the Educational Block Resource Centres (EBRC) and interacting with volunteers and trainees to ensure smooth implementation of the programme.

During the visit to Ahthibung EBRC on March 11, Limadangit Jamir encouraged the voluntary teachers to continue contributing to society through their noble service and to take the responsibility of teaching and guiding learners with dedication and commitment.
Appreciating the encouraging turnout of participants, he congratulated the block coordinators and the teachers of trainers (TOT) for their efforts in mobilising and preparing volunteers for the upcoming assessment.
The programme also included a brief interaction session between volunteers and trainees, fostering better coordination and understanding on the objectives of FLNAT examination. The session concluded with distribution of examination materials and refreshments to the participants.
Earlier, the team also visited Tening EBRC on March 10 as part of the ongoing mobilisation drive and held similar interactions to ensure readiness for the district-wide assessment.
It mentioned that the FLNAT initiative under the ULLAS programme aims to strengthen functional literacy and numeracy among adult learners, promoting inclusive education and lifelong learning opportunities for all sections of society.
