Dimapur, June 4 (EMN): Peren Council (PC)- apex body of all Peren villages, Peren Government Employees’ Union (PGEU), Peren Baptist Mipui Nkwa (PBMN), Peren Youth Federation (PYF), and Peren Students’ Union (PSU) have jointly organised a felicitation programme for the successful students of HSLC and HSSLC 2018 at Peren Baptist Mipui Kangbau Hall, Peren town, on June 4 at 11 am.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ndangkie Ndang, secretary of Peren council, congratulated the students on their success in the HSLC and HSSLC examinations. In his exhortation, Ndang encouraged the students to be an asset to the society and not to be a liability. He expounded that students ought to give back to the society what they have learnt throughout the process of education.
In general, Ndang asked the students community to follow their hearts desire in choosing their career.
Dr. Zieleigai Ndang, president of Peren Government Employees’ Union (PGEU) felicitated the successful students by presenting a gift as a sign of gratitude and encouragement.
The successful candidates were blessed by the pastors Rev. Suitei, Dr. Hiazuheing and Hiarwa Sephe.
The programme was marked with presentation of special number from Lungsigong and his colleagues. The programme was chaired by Rampauyi and P David. The vote of thanks and benediction were delivered by Kiezeuh Sephe and Hiarwa Sephe respectively.
