Dimapur, July 26 (EMN): Peraciezie Youth Organisation (PYO) under KMC Ward No. 1 has issued guidelines for strict adherence by every resident, household and business establishment within Peraciezie colony and Peraciezie junction.
The organisation has prohibited open defecation and directed that every toilet should have a proper septic tank attached. The septic tank should be properly maintained with no leakages.
The organisation has also prohibited draining/ releasing of toilet septic tanks into rivers and drainage. Residents are advised to avail Cesspool vehicle service for emptying septic tanks. In places where there is no road connectivity, residents are asked to contact the executive members of the organisation.
It cautioned that non-adherence to the above mentioned guidelines would attract a penalty of INR 10,000. The guideline has been issued in conformity with Lhisemia Youth Organisation (LYO) guidelines.
Meanwhile, the organisation also directed every business establishment to maintain hygiene and sanitation inside and outside their shops. They are asked to compulsorily sweep/ clean the vicinity of their shops every morning and evening and place a waste bin outside their shops.
It warned that non-adherence would attract a penalty of INR 500 in the first instance and more severe penalty for repeated offence.
The youth organisation also prohibited throwing of garbage in the open or into drainage and rivers. It warned that defaulters would be penalised with INR 1000 in the first instance and more severe penalties thereafter.
The guidelines would be enforced with immediate effect, the organisation informed.
