Pentecost Sunday celebrated at St Francis Xavier’s

EMN DIMAPUR, MAY 24 [dropcap]T[/dropcap]he St Francis Xavier’s Church Kidima observed Pentecost Sunday of the liturgical calendar with rest of the world with Parish Priest, Reverend Father Thomas Muttathil as main celebrant on May 24 last at Church premises.Father Thomas Muttathil, in the introductory speech, spoke on how anger and quarrel turns into violence. The Parish Priest in his sermon highlighted the power of the Holy Spirit shows the existence of God. Father in the homily explained the Old Testament that Adam and Eve were part of God but their disobedience atthe Eden Garden invited punishment from God. Jews believed salvation would come from God again that is through Jesus Christ as revealed in the New Testament, Father added. The celebration of body and blood of Jesus Christ offering in the Holy Mass is for cooperation, unity and oneness for the world, he added.
