Dimapur, Feb. 10 (EMN): While appreciating the services and contributions of the pensioners towards the society, MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu called upon them to fear God and also set an example of living a healthy life.
Nienu stated this during the 35th anniversary of Phek District Pensioners’ Association (PDPA) held on February 9 at Phek town hall as the special guest. He urged upon the pensioners to be fair in all their dealings and also fear God.
He also urged them to set an example of living a healthy life through their diet and exercise in order to live a long life.
Also speaking on the occasion, the SBI Phek branch manager, Duhusu Kezo, requested the pensioners to know the guidelines and conditions on how to draw money. He assured that the bank officials would always be ready to help them in the event of any problem.
He spoke on the importance of SMS alerts and a joint account book where one needs to check from time to time so that money is safe in the bank.
Meanwhile, the association has selected new office bearers for the tenure of 2022-2024 led by Yeveyi Sapuh as president, Veposa Venuh as secretary and Wezute Wetsah as treasurer.
