Pengchoi Konyak wins 4th Dorians Society Spelling Bee

DIMAPUR — Pengchoi Konyak of Eklavya Model Residential School, Diphupar, under Chümoukedima district, emerged as the champion of the fourth Dorians Society Spelling Bee 2025, organised by The Dorians Society on Saturday at Kingdom Culture Church, opposite Notun Basti Gate.

Wachum Thonger of Christina Memorial Higher Secondary School, Aoyimti, Dimapur district, secured the second place, while Riya Sharma of Neingullie Memorial High School, Dimapur, claimed the third position.

This year's competition drew 25 students from 13 schools across Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland districts, with participants representing Classes 7 and 8.

The judges for the event were Dr. Inakali, author and Assistant Professor at St. John College, and Imolangla Pongen, former Assistant Professor and entrepreneur.
