Dimapur, May 5 (EMN): The Phek District Timber Association (PDTA) has appealed the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Peren to revoke the notification served on restriction of vehicles carrying log and timber to ply through District HQ Peren. In a press released, PDTA president, Sanyi Dukru, stated that many families especially in the villages depend on timber trade for their livelihood. Therefore, the association has appealed to the concerned authority to reconsider the notification in the interest of the timber trading community.
