- DIMAPUR — The People’s Democratic Alliance
(PDA) government of Nagaland and the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party
(NDPP) have extended congratulations to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)
government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on completing 11 years in
office—and marking the first anniversary of its third consecutive term.
- In a statement, the PDA expressed deep appreciation for the
NDA leadership and its alliance partners, lauding their commitment to inclusive
development, collective responsibility, and strong governance.
- “We also thank the people of Nagaland and the country for
their continued trust in the NDA’s vision,” it added.
- The PDA, comprising the NDPP-BJP alliance and supported by
NPP, JD (U), LJP, NPF, RPI, and four Independent MLAs under the leadership of
Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, stated that it has been delivering progressive
development in Nagaland for the past seven years through close partnership with
the NDA government at the Centre.
- “This collaboration has enabled Nagaland and its people to
be active contributors in the nation-building process,” the statement read,
while reaffirming its commitment to strengthen democratic values and foster
inclusive growth.
- In a separate statement, the NDPP highlighted Modi’s
successful leadership of the NDA and India. “The NDA under the dynamic
leadership of the hon’ble prime minister has grown by leaps and bounds and has
taken India to become the World’s fourth largest economy.
- “With the many innovative programs being taken up by the
present leadership, the NDPP is confident that India will only grow stronger in
the days and years to come, reaching many more milestones,” it stated.
