Wokha, Nov. 11 (EMN): A two-day event to promote peace titled ‘Peace Count Wokha’ (PCW) culminated with a painting competition for students of Class VII and VIII.
Among 19 participants from different schools and youth fellowships, Chichanbemo M Tsanglao of DBHSS, Wokha, was adjudged the winner of the painting competition. Abenthung T Yanthan of Cistus School, Wokha, and Mhayani Lotha of LMS, Wokha, were declared as the first runner-up and the second runner-up respectively.
In the poetry competition for Class IX and X students, Thungchanbeni T Ngullie of LMS, Wokha, was declared the winner, while Bendangmenla Ozukum of Ao Baptist Church, Wokha, and Epurhoni T Ovung of Mt. Sinai School, Wokha, were declared winners in the second and third positions respectively.
In the essay writing competition for Classes XI and above, Zuchobeni S Ezung of Forest Youth Fellowship was declared the winner. Roney Odyuo of Nepali Baptist Church, Wokha, and Imkongienla of Ao Baptist Church, Wokha, were declared winners in the second and third positions respectively.
In the football for peace tournament (peace fiesta), Don Bosco School emerged as the champion, while Saron Youth Fellowship was declared the runners-up.
