Dimapur, Aug. 31 (EMN): The deputy chief minister of Nagaland Yanthungo Patton, who is also the minister in-charge of Home and Roads and Bridges, inspected on August 31 the ongoing ‘Dimapur road improvement’ project that is from the PWD junction to the Unity College road in Dimapur town.
The media cell of the deputy chief minister issued a press release to the media on Saturday informing about his visit.
The deputy CM visited the spot to examine the progress of the improvement work that is to be completed within 12 months from the date of the work having commenced, the note stated.
“Patton has urged upon the concerned contractor not to compromise on workmanship. He has also reminded the contractor that even after the completion of work the contractor will be responsible for road maintenance for a period of three years.”
Patton was stated to have appealed to the contractor to adhere to the terms and conditions of the road improvement project, the press release stated.
The minister was accompanied by the Dimapur Police Commissioner Limasunep Jamir, Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Kevekha Zehol and PWD (R&B) Executive Engineer Talitemsu Jamir, the updates stated.
