Dimapur, Aug. 3 (EMN): Deputy Chief Minister, Y. Patton today strongly condemned the murder of a minor boy at Lotovi village under Diphupar police station Dimapur - whose body was recovered on Aug. 3 2018 - and directed the law enforcing agency to make thorough investigation into the matter and award the highest degree of punishment to the perpetrators.
In a condemnation letter by the dy. chief minister stated, “The gruesome and barbaric act of the accused person should be dealt with an iron hand and befitting punishment be given to the criminals so as to act as deterrence in the society as per the law of the land”.
In this connection, Patton directed the law enforcing agency to make thorough investigation and to award punishment of the highest degree as per law.
Saying that such heinous crime in a civilized society is incomprehensible and cannot be condoned, Patton said that the crime calls for a condemnation from all rational beings.
The dy. chief minister further extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed God to grant them solace and to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
It may be noted here that a young boy was found murdered at Lotovi village on Aug. 3 2018 at Dimapur; five persons have reportedly been arrested by the police with regard to the murder.
