Sainik School Punglwa Annual Inter-House Football Championship 2015-16 concluded on April 13 with Patkai House lifting the trophy. Cadet Gamlin Dubi, Cadet Kedisepe and Cadet Kaken Riba scored maximum goals for Patkai House in the Championship. Capt (IN) Kanchan Mukherjee, Principal, graced the occasion as the chief guest and gave away the certificates and the trophy. Saramati and Melak Houses finished second and third respectively.
The championship which began on April 6 was played under two categories Sub-Junior and Junior. In each category six houses vying for the trophy gave in their best to win. In the junior category, the final match was played between Patkai and Saramati in which the Patkains proved their dominance in the game by 7-0 win. In the Sub-Junior final which was also played between Saramati and Patkai, Patkai House won the match 4-2. After the event, names of cadets selected to represent the school for East Zone Sports Championship were announced.
