Passengers can report lost items to Auto drivers’ union

Dimapur, April 5 (EMN): The Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers' Union (DDADU) has asked commuters to inform the union office – located at Supermarket, near Hotel Saramati – in cases of the latter losing articles in autorickshaws. The union issued a press release on Wednesday, requesting the commuters to also note down the registration number of the vehicles while adding that ‘if it is the negligence of the passengers, the drivers are not to be blamed.’“The union also takes serious note of drivers driving under the influence of alcohol. The passengers are requested to report such cases to the union office so that strict action can be taken against them. While on duty, the auto drivers should posses the union identity card, uniform and driving license,” it informed.
