Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): With no positive response from the government to their demand for setting up a State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Pughoboto town under Zunheboto district, various civil society organisations of Pughoboto town have called for a partial bandh on November 11.
A press release issued by the civil society organisations through its media cell stated that the public of Pughoboto town are compelled to initiate the bandh since no positive response was received even after serving 45 days ultimatum during a silent procession held on August 11 last.
It mentioned that prior information was served to all the HODs and employees posted at Pughoboto that all the departmental offices should remain closed on the day of the bandh except for administration, medical and police personnel. However, it has made the attendance of every employee mandatory on that day, failing which the CSOs have warned to initiate strict course of action against the defaulting employees.
It further resolved to proceed with its next phase of agitation if they demand was not fulfilled at the earliest.
