Dimapur, Aug. 31 (EMN): The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) committee of Immanuel College organised a meeting for the degree students for the academic session 2019-2020 at the college conference hall on August 31.
The meeting was held with an objective to maintain a better understanding and good relationship between the parents and the teaching faculty; to communicate to the parents on the areas their children are excelling in; and to share academic progress and growth based on classroom observation, informed an update from the college.
The meeting was chaired by Assistant Professor Temjen Longkumer, department of education, and the welcome address was delivered by the principal of Immanuel College, Th Sharatchandra Singh. In his speech, Singh thanked the parents for their cooperation and also stressed on the importance of an effective parent-teacher partnership for the students’ holistic development.
Sashimenla, SJ’s Hostel warden, spoke on behalf of the parents and Temjenzungla, HOD department of History, spoke on behalf of the teachers. It was followed by an interactive session. According to the update from the institute, the new office bearers of Immanuel College PTA for the session 2019-2021 are: Th Sharatchandra Singh – president;
Sashimenla – vice president; Inaho – general secretary; and Abeni Muzhoi - finance secretary. The members of HOD dept. of Education are Prasanjit, Wardingla, and Kumchathung Humtsoe.
