Dimapur, Jan. 28 (EMN): The minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, inaugurated RIDF project, horti-link road and NMISF agri. project at Etayongsho and Chichemleiven on January 28.
In his inaugural speech, the minister lauded the department for successful completion of the project and added that roads are a gateway of development for overall progress of the society, a DIPR report stated.
He also termed as red letter day for the farmers in availing the facilities provided to them. The minister further encouraged the public to make use of the road for their benefit and also give more efforts to usher in further development in the district.
The deputy commissioner of Longleng, M Shayung Phom, also spoke at the programme, while the DAO of Longleng, S Yongchang Phom, presented a report on the project.
Invocation and welcome address was proposed by Adoa, pastor of Yachem Baptist Attoi, and Manlu Phom, head GB of Noksosang village, respectively. The vote of thanks and benediction was pronounced by Longnyu Phom, 2nd Barrick of Yachem, and Rev. TI Lakba, pastor of Noksosang Baptist Attoi.
The report stated that the project commenced on May 26, 2020, and completed on December 10, 2020. The project was implemented by the department of Horticulture, it added.
