Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, P Paiwang Konyak, has launched an antibody test kits named 'Corona Kanach' manufactured by Zydus Cadila and approved by ICMR at Walo Guest House, Mon headquarters on August 5. Besides, Konyak also donated INR 2.8 lakh for purchase of the antibody tests (10 kits and 96 tests per kit).
Antibody tests are conducted to determine if somebody was previously infected or indicative of adaptive immunity, a DIPR report stated on Thursday.
During the programme, the members have discussed on various protocols for testing and discharge. The members have also discussed on the opening of Covid Care Centre in all the sub-divisions in addition to home isolation SOP.
The report also stated that Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, had donated a sum of INR 5 lakhs to the Konyak Union for implementation of the Covid-19 Adaptive Response Model (CARE), a model adopted by the district task force and empowered committee. The amount was handed over to the Konyak Union through Paiwang Konyak.
Paiwang also announced the adoption of Tizit CHC by Hans Foundation. Hans Foundation has also donated a state-of-art advanced life support ambulance to the District Hospital, Mon, worth INR 33 lakh (approximately) and equipment worth INR 11 lakh.
The members have further discussed on deployment of more doctors and lab technicians as well as vehicles to be sent to Tizit in the next few days to help with the increasing workload.
