Nagaland Health Minister P Paiwang Konyak meets Union Minister JP Nadda to discuss FNTA, medical colleges, and healthcare schemes.

DIMAPUR — Minister for Health and Family Welfare P Paiwang Konyak called on the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda, in New Delhi on Monday.
According to an update, during the meeting, Konyak expressed appreciation to the union minister for continued commitment towards the development of Nagaland’s eastern region.
The minister briefed the union minister on ongoing infrastructure development initiatives under the State Programme Implementation Plan (SPIP), enhancement of the Resource Envelope, and the progress of academic and infrastructural activities at Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR) and Mon Medical College.

He also acknowledged the Union Minister’s support in extending MBBS seats for students from Nagaland at the central level.
The two leaders further deliberated on key national health initiatives, including the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, the 15th Finance Commission grants, and the early utilisation of the National Health Mission (NHM) Resource Envelope to optimise future allocations and strengthen healthcare delivery in the state.
