Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will chair the Nagaland Political Affairs Committee meeting on Aug. 4 to discuss key state issues
KOHIMA — A meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC), chaired by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, has been convened on August 4 at 10 am at the Chief Minister's Residential Complex in Kohima.
PAC Member Secretary and Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye, has informed all members to make it convenient to attend the meeting.
The PAC comprises all ministers, advisors, representatives of all political parties in the state and Nagaland's Members of Parliament.
It may be recalled that in his Republic Day address earlier this year, Rio reaffirmed the Nagaland government's commitment to an early and honourable solution to the Naga political issue. He had said the PAC would intensify its efforts as an active facilitator in the ongoing peace process.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on the protracted Naga political issue and other matters of importance.
