Dimapur, Sep. 1 (EMN): In what will mitigate the problem of food shortage in Kiphire district, eight trucks with 1408 bags of rice reached Kiphire town early Saturday morning at around 7 am.
An update from DPRO stated that seven trucks were sent under the initiative of the Home Commissioner, director of Food & Civil Supply and district administration of Dimapur, and one truck with 180 bags of rice was from Jorhat.
The trucks reached Kiphire town through the newly cut by-pass road at Meluri.
The rice will be distributed to all the villages under the initiative and guidance of assistant director of FCS and Kiphire district administration.
