DIMAPUR — The Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India is observing Audit Diwas, which falls on November 16 every year, followed by an Audit Awareness Week across the country.
According to an update, it serves as an opportunity to reach out to our stakeholders, raise awareness, and reinforce the organisation's role in promoting accountability and transparency in public administration.
This year, both the AG (Audit) and AG (Accounts and Entitlement) offices are organising a series of outreach activities and external workshops as part of the Audit Awareness Week.
An outreach programme aimed at raising awareness and assisting the public on various entitlement-related matters—including pension and related queries (ROP), GPF (including online GPF Statement), missing credits/debits, payslips, pay fixation and options under FR 22 I(a), and final leave encashment—will be conducted at the DC Conference Hall in Wokha on November 21 from 11 am to 1 pm.

During the programme, the office will also hand over the Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) to pensioners of the district. Pensioners and state government employees are invited to attend the programme for grievance redressal and necessary clarifications, if any.
A workshop on the use of the CAG Connect Portal (OIOS) for the state government departments will be conducted on November 26 from 11 am to 1 pm at the conference hall of the office. This is designed to streamline the audit process and enhance ease of interaction between the audit and audit entities. The portal will enable departments to view pending audit observations and paras and submit replies online.
A workshop to enhance the accounting knowledge and skills of divisional accountants will be held on November 26 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the conference hall of the office.
The workshop will focus on accounting rules, regulations, and procedures to ensure the quality and accuracy of accounts maintained by divisional accountants in the state.
