Dimapur, March 25 (EMN): The Mar Gregorios Orthodox Syrian (MGOS) church in Dimapur celebrated Palm Sunday on March 25 at Midland in Dimapur. A press release from the church informed about the event on Sunday.
According to the press release, ‘Palm Sunday service resembles the memory of Jesus Christ triumphal entry into the city of Jerusalem in the days before the Jewish Passover.’
The morning prayer started at 7:45 am followed by a Palm Sunday procession, service, and Holy Communion, it informed.
The visar of MGOS church PS Varghse announced that evening prayers would be conducted every day at 5:45 pm till Easter Sunday, it was informed.
Further, morning services on Monday and Thursday will start at 5:30 am, followed by a Paschal service.
Good Friday morning prayers will start at 8 am to 3 pm, Holy Communion on Saturday at 8 am, and morning prayers on Easter Sunday will start at 5:30 am followed by the Easter service, it stated.
