Dimapur, Sep. 17 (EMN): The Entrepreneurs Associates in partnership with the Oriental College, Kohima launched ‘School of Life Values and Entrepreneurship’ (SOLVE) programme at the college on Monday. The initiative seeks to enrich the students’ living skills and functions, according to a press statement issued on Monday. “Introducing the programme at the college Mr Neichute Doulo, CEO Coordinator of Entrepreneurs Associates (EA), encouraged the students to develop a creative perspective towards life and be open to taking up different career paths unlike the popular choices.” He encouraged the students to take up entrepreneurship and chart new paths for themselves.
Michelle Hesso, EA’s Strategic Planner, encouraged the students to think ‘outside the box’ and be open to new ideas. Urging them to look beyond government jobs, she shared about the immense opportunities in the corporate and private sector that is to be explored and taken advantage of.
Ngaore Rume, an alumni of the college and the Chief Financial Officer of EA, spoke about the need to start small and grab any opportunity that comes their way.
Gopal Chetri, the vice principal of the college, said the college had for long wanted to start something of this sort which has now come to fruition. He hoped that the programme would prove to be a transformative experience for the students and enable them to have a winning edge in life.
“In a bid to help students and young people achieve success and effectively contribute towards society, EA is currently reaching out to students through this programme. SOLVE is currently running at Chandmari Higher Secondary School where 40 students are part of the programme to enhance their lives,” it informed.
