Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): Nagaland GBs’ Federation (NGBF) and the Nagaland unit of the Janata Dal United (JDU) have congratulated RN Ravi on his appointment as the Governor of the State.
NGBF secretary, Shikuto Zalipu, and the president, Shahlem Konyak, have anticipated early solution to the vexed Naga political issue with the appointment of RN Ravi as the State Governor, who is well versed about Naga’s issue.
NGBD also expressed gratitude to RN Ravi for excepting the given assignments as Governor and interlocutor. NGBF hoped that the GOI and Naga political parties would soon settled the differences and come out with concrete political solution as dreamt by every Naga.
In a separate statement, Nagaland unit of the Janata Dal United (JDU) has congratulated RN Ravi on his appointment as the new Governor of Nagaland. It has appreciated Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, for choosing an eminent and high ranking personality who has in-depth knowledge of Nagas in particular and the North East region in general. State JD(U) hoped that Ravi would discharge his duties as a Governor without prejudices and also helped expedite in bringing the peace talk to its logical conclusion. It further wished him a successful tenure.
