Dimapur, July 24 (EMN): Major community organisations and frontals of the Lotha Naga tribe will stick with the tribe’s apex community organisation, the Lotha Hoho, as was expressed during a recent meeting of the community’s organisations on July 19, the Lotha Hoho has stated.
The organisation issued a press release informing about a meeting on the 19th with leaders and organisations to discuss the new group called ‘LPO,’ which is stated to be led by a former member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, who the Hoho said had been “disassociated” from the Lotha Hoho for 10 years.
The updates informed that the meeting concluded with a ‘consensus resolution’ to stand firmly with the Lotha Hoho.
Leaders who spoke at the event included parliamentarians, church leaders, and senior citizens and those from community groups such as Lotha Students’ Union, Wokha District Village Council Chairmen Association, WD GB Association, Lotha Eloe (Women) Hoho, Kohima Lotha Hoho, Dimapur Lotha Hoho, Ralan Area Lotha Hoho, Potinakup Public Organisation, Mokokchung Lotha Hoho, representatives from the CNTC; Pangti Village Council, Lakhuti Village Council; representatives from Sungro range, Elumyo Village Council, Yonchucho Village Council, and Doyang Village Council among others.
“Many other organisations and village councils attended the meeting; but could not accommodate them to speak due to time constraint,” the note explained.
“The Lotha organisations, on behalf of the Lotha public unanimously resolved not to entertain or recognise any unauthorised organisation such as the LPO but to steadfastly nurture and to give full co operation and support to the Lotha Hoho,” the press release added.
