Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN): Y Patton: Deputy chief minister, Y Patton has mourned the demise of Khole Konyak, NSCN/GPRN vice chairman, who passed away on December 12 in Delhi following massive stroke.
Describing Khole as a man of integrity, Patton stated that he had dedicated his whole life to the call of Naga nationalism for self - determination. “His impeccable image as a true patriot and a nationalist can never be erased from the minds of the people,” Patton stated.
He stated his death was great loss and would be felt deeply especially during a time when the Naga peace talks has reached a crucial juncture.
Patton, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, conveyed condolence to the bereaved family.
KTCN: Kachari Tribal Council Nagaland (KTCN) has mourned the demise of Gen. (Retd) Khole, NSCN (IM) vice president, who passed away on December 12 in Delhi following massive heart attack.
The organisation has described him as one who had great vision and understood the pulse of all sections of people and worked accordingly. It lamented that his demise was a great loss and added that his absence would be felt genuinely.
The organisation has conveyed condolence to bereaved family and prayed to the Almighty to grant them strength and comfort in their hour of sorrow. It further prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
DPON: Dimasa public organisation Nagaland (DPON) has mourned the demise of Gen. (retired) Kholi Konyak, vice president of NSCN/GPRN, who passed away on December 12. Describing him as one of the front runners of the Naga independence movement, the organisation stated that the struggle and the legacy he left behind would be cherished by younger generations.
The organisation, in a press release issued by its publicity secretary, A Diefoe, has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
