as ‘shocking and utterly unacceptable.’ It stated that Aolemba Longkumer is a
bona-fide Ao Naga citizen and law-abiding man, who made his mark through his
God given talents and sheer diligence.
A recipient of President’s Award and Governor’s Award, it
stated that Longkumer is a state treasure and national asset.
“If such person like Aolemba is harassed in such a degrading
manner by the NSCN (Khango), then it would discourage the future Naga
innovators and entrepreneurs and put Nagaland on a backslide in every field,”
ALT said.
ALT urged the law enforcing agencies to take the matter with
utmost seriousness and expedite the case and arrest the culprits at the
earliest. It also made a clarion call to the Naga society, especially the
youth, to introspect deeply on the prevailing scourge of extortion and
intimation perpetuated by the different underground groups.

egregious demand was not only reprehensible in itself but also shocking and

upon the law enforcement agencies to act decisively against those who engage in
such anti-social practices and award stringent penalties as deterrent to future
occurrence.
AYFD: Ao Youth Forum Diphupar has termed the demand as not
only unjust and intolerable but also a blatant attempt to undermine the rights
and freedoms of its members and community at large.
“We as a youth organisation will not stand idly while NSCN-K
(Khango) group attempts to use coercion and intimidation to achieve their
goals. We denounce this demand and firmly stand with the CALT in our opposition

instructed all workers of various Naga political groups to refrain from illegal
activities within Angami jurisdiction.
