DIMAPUR — The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF), Dimapur Press Club (DPC), Naga People's Front (NPF), and Nagaland Football Association (NFA) have congratulated the Kohima Press Club (KPC) on its 25th anniversary.
The NSF, in a message, congratulated the KPC on reaching a historic milestone and celebrating its silver jubilee on the theme ‘Traversing 25 years of storytelling: Inspiring the future’ on Tuesday.
“Over the past two and a half decades, the Kohima Press Club has played a pivotal role in strengthening journalism and upholding the principles of a free, responsible and vibrant press in the state.

“From chronicling the socio-political journey of the region to giving voice to the aspirations and concerns of the people, KPC has remained steadfast in its commitment to truthful, ethical and impactful storytelling,” the federation stated.
According to the NSF, the silver jubilee theme highlights the club's journey, honouring its journalism legacy while inspiring the next generation.
The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) conveyed its warm greetings to the KPC on the occasion of its silver jubilee. It stated that the milestone marks 25 years of faithful service to the media fraternity and to the public at large.
The DPC extended its best wishes to the office bearers, members, and all those associated with the KPC on this meaningful occasion.
It stated that over the years, the KPC has provided a common platform for journalists to share ideas, uphold professional conduct, and stand for public interest. It added that its role in supporting responsible journalism and in creating space for dialogue has been valued by peers across Nagaland, including members of the DPC.
The DPC acknowledged the efforts of past and present leaders of the KPC who have guided the organisation with care and commitment. Their work has helped strengthen bonds within the media community and has encouraged mutual respect among journalists, it stated.
On the silver jubilee, the DPC wished the KPC continued unity, good health, and progress in the years ahead.
In a message, the NPF stated that throughout the years, the Kohima Press Club has provided an important platform for media practitioners to engage, collaborate, and strengthen professional standards in pursuit of truth and public interest.
“Its efforts to uphold the role of the press as the Fourth Estate are noteworthy and appreciated,” the party stated.
The NPF also paid tribute to the pioneer members of the KPC who have passed away, stating that their foundational contributions and vision continue to inspire today's journalists.
“As the club celebrates this milestone, the NPF commends the dedication, professional commitment, and integrity of KPC members. At a time of rapid technological change and rising misinformation, their adherence to ethical journalism remains vital for an informed society,” it added.
The NFA, on behalf of the football fraternity of Nagaland, conveyed its heartiest congratulations to the KPC.
It stated that for 25 years, the KPC has been a pillar of strength, integrity, and dedication in the field of journalism, navigating the transition from typewriters to digital media while continuously telling the stories of the people and beyond.
The NFA applauded the club and its members for the commitment ‘to serve’, true to its motto. It acknowledged and paid respects to the members, both present and past, for their dedicated service, professionalism and committed service rendered to the community through the power of the pen.
The NFA especially appreciated the crucial role played by the KPC in encouraging and uplifting sports and sportspersons in the state, particularly football.
