Dimapur, May 1 (EMN): Various organisations have condemned the murder of Nesato Swuro, son of Khwüyi Swuro of Chesezu village on April 29 at D Block, Kohima, allegedly Neilalie Louchü of Zhadima village, Kikruorietuo Venyo of Thuvopisu village, Thepfünilhou Theünuo of Seiyhama village, and John Chettri.
CYF: Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) has strongly condemned the gruesome murder carried out in broad day light within the vicinity of Kohima town by its own Naga brethren for no reasons. It stated that existence of such inhuman being in the society had raised insecurity from one’s own brethrens in the land.
CYF, in a joint press release issued by its president, Lhuvesayi Lohe, and the general secretary, Medovelo Sono, urged the law enforcing authorities to book those murderers and award the highest degree punishment as per the law and not to grant bail under any circumstances. CYF has warned taking its own course of action if the law enforcers fail to give befitting punishment to the criminals.
CYF further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members.
RWUK: In another statement, the Ruzazho Welfare Union Kohima (RWUK), while condemning the murder, stated that an evil act such as murder has no place in a civil society.
RWUK youth president, Krubazo Sguih, and the chairman, Japra Swuro, have urged the law enforcing agency to take up the case with utmost seriousness and carry out proper investigation without leaving no stone unturned. It further urged the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits responsible for the murder and punish them and deliver justice as per the law of the land.
CWSK: Chakhesang Women Society Kohima (CWSK) has strongly condemned the recent murder of Nesato Swűro in Kohima.
CWSK president, Neikhwepeu Khalo, stated that Nesato was only 37 and at the prime of his life. The CWSK expressed pain that his life was not only cut short but a family has been left fatherless.
It urged the law enforcement agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.
CWSK further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed that the Lord would grant peace, comfort and strength in their hour of grief and sorrow.
Azo Nienu: Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA of 19 Phek AC, while condemning the murder of Nesato Swuro, urged the law enforcing agencies to award befitting punishment to the perpetrators so that such acts of murder do not repeated in future. He stated that such act of murder has no place in a civilised society.
He further conveyed condolence to the victim’s family and prayed that justice would be delivered at the earliest.
TWUK: Thüvopisümi Welfare Union Kohima (TWUK) and Thüvopisümi Youth Association (TYA) have also condemned the murder of Nesato Swüro. It mentioned that one of the alleged accused namely Kikrukhrietuo Venyo (21) was never a member of the union since 1980 as the family wilfully gave up their membership and took the citizenship of another village. The union has condemned him for defaming the name of Venyo clan and the village.
TWUK chairman, Kuvesho Tetseo, and the secretary, Zachisato Tetseo, and TYAK president Kuthophuyi Tetseo, urged the law enforcing agencies to bring all the perpetrators to book and award them with stringent punishment as deemed fit and as per the law of the land.
TWUK and TYAK further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and prayed that the Almighty would grant eternal rest and peace to the departed soul.
